Sign the Dear Patients Letter
Please consider signing this letter from America’s clinicians (doctors and nurses) to our patients asking them to support leaders who will protect our climate and our health. The climate crisis is creating a health emergency. Our patients and communities must hear from us. Please sign this letter and encourage your colleagues to sign.

Health Voices for Climate Action is a coalition of health and medical organizations collecting stories from health professionals on the front lines in clinics, hospitals, community organizations, and public health agencies across the nation.

Research shows that people who understand that climate is a health issue are more likely to support climate solutions, many of which bring quick and significant health and health equity benefits. One of the best ways we can support climate wins this November is by telling our stories.

Watch these heartfelt videos as doctors and nurses, in states across the US, speak about how climate change is affecting the health of their patients.

Virtual film premiere of
Planet Prescription: Healing Healers. Healing Communities. Healing us.
October 20th at 8 pm ET

The COVID-19 crisis is brutally showing us how vulnerable we are to existential threats. There is an unconnected pandemic sweeping the planet — health impacts from air pollution and the climate crisis.

But, we have the prescription — listening to science and stories, while making our voices heard can create a healthier planet for all of us.

The film listens to stories from health professionals as they witness how air pollution and climate change are impacting human health, especially children’s health and the communities impacted most by racial injustice.

This collaborative film was made in partnership with the Climate Listening Project, Mothers & Others for Clean Air and Narrative Healthcare at Lenoir Rhyne University. Dr. Anne Mellinger-Birdsong, GCCA Steering committee member, is featured in the film and a part of the panel following the premiere.
