Dear SCM Families,
As the weeks pass and we adapt to our new school routines, we continue to appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we navigate new procedures and safety protocols. Please read this message carefully to learn about a new safety protocol Public Health released this week.
As of this week, all children that have one or more of the following symptoms are now required to get a COVID test or a doctor’s note to return to school: fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle/body aches, headache, loss of taste/smell, sore throat, congestion, runny nose, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea.
Once you have received a negative test result or a doctor’s note, then your child can return to school when they are 72 hours symptom-free. If you choose to not have your child tested or do not get a doctor’s note, they must wait until they have been symptom-free for 10 days before returning to school.
