IN MEMORIAM
It is with great sadness that the Trustees of Midwest Railway Preservation Society announce the passing of Tom Hunt. Tom, an active volunteer since joining MRPS in 2011, also served on the Board of Trustees since 2013 and was always ready to lend a hand on any of the many projects that were underway at the roundhouse. A retired carpenter by trade, Tom installed the new doors throughout the facility as well as constructing the turntable control house and working on the front facing on stalls 6 through 10. Visitors to the roundhouse would recognize Tom especially as he portrayed Santa Claus during the Christmas Open House events, but he also was the man inside the Easter Bunny costume during the Easter events. Tom will be sorely missed.
