Sunday's Sermon: The Word of Life
John presents a clear progression in the preface of his letter:
- The eternal son has appeared and is the word of life (1 Jn 1:1).
- The testimony and proclamation that Jesus is the eternal son who appeared (1 Jn 1:2).
- Fellowship with God and each other based upon the experience of this truth (1 Jn 1:3).
- Joy found in fellowship with the Father, Son, and other Jesus followers.

GUEST SPEAKER:
- This Sunday, October 18, 10am, Josh Duncan with the Footstool Project will be preaching. Our regular Equipping Electives and Children's classes will be held as usual.
EVANGELISM WORKSHOP:
- Small group workshop that will focus on evangelism, apologetics, and engaging in Christ-centered dialogue. Beginning this Wednesday (October 14, 6:30-8pm) and running for the next 12 weeks.
BABY SHOWER:

TEEN ACTIVITY:
- Friday, October 30, there will be a teen activity at Highlands. Join us for games, a pumpkin carving contest, food, and a challenge from God's Word. A separate email with full details will be sent later this week.
