EBT Host Issue
Our EBT processor experienced an issue on Thursday, October 1, around 6:30 p.m. Due to a human error on their end, a number of retailers were temporarily deactivated by mistake. Retail transactions were rejected for about 18 minutes causing families not to be able to purchase their WIC groceries. The issue is now fixed and families should be advised to go back to the store and try again.
This issue only affected certain local agencies and those agencies have been contacted by the State Office and will be reaching out to the families whose purchases were declined.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this caused and are working very closely with our EBT processor regarding this issue. They are contacting Point of Sale (POS) contractors and stores to explain the situation to them as well. Please contact Melanie.Roberts@state.co.us if you have any further questions or concerns.
