Hello everybody! Special newsletter today about fashion... it couldn’t be any different since the fashion season just finished in the beginning of the month showcasing a lot of beautiful creations and bringing new trends to fall in love with.

We had a lot of shows happening in New York, Milan, London and Paris but some big Maisons still opted for not presenting new collections at this time, like Saint Laurent and some that also preferred to show their collections virtually, through video and images.

Ether way, we’ve followed everything and now we're sharing the best moments here with you but there is much more to come on the blog this week so stay tuned and enjoy your reading!

Rick Owens Spring 2021 Ready-to-Wear collection was my favorite of the season and I had to share it here with you. As a sci-fi fan, I always thought I wouldn't be alive to see that chaotic and futuristic world Ridley Scott imagined in 'Blade Runner' but 2020 is here to prove me wrong. That future, that I was so fascinated about has arrived and despite the chaos, we still have Art to make it beautiful and poetic. To me, Rick Owens collection is pure Art. And I want to wear It now.
From Hollywood to Paris... Chanel show was a love letter to French cinema and we love it! “I was thinking about actresses at the photocall, on the red carpet, that moment when they’re being called to by the photographers: their faces a little distracted, their attitude a little out of sync with the outfits they’re wearing,” said Virginie Viard.
The collection had everything from high-waisted denim in bubblegum pinks (following the concept of the latest cruise collection) and baby blue’s to sleek printed tees, plus little bags and asymmetric dresses - all mixed with classic codes of the house, knit vests, teenie pastel clutches that dangled from wrist-chains and even pastel renditions of the Marge Simpson Chanel suit.
Have you watched the show? We'd love to know your thoughts about it too ❤︎

Versaceopolis

Scape reality and meet Versace's new world: an utopian settlement created on the seabed and populated by strong and confident men and women... The show was a tribute to Gianni Versace’s Trésor de la Mer collection for spring 1992 and also a testament to moving forward - to a happy, (always) sexy and bright future!

The best of Milan

Dolce & Gabanna's 'Patchwork di Sicilia' displayed a collection full of color and energy (as the concept of the maison itself), combining a 'patchwork' of references from cities like Palermo, Catania and Syracuse and putting it together in a garment - with more literal patchworking of fabrics and textures. The theme also nodded towards sustainability, with many of the pieces incorporating a mixture of new and recycled materials, hand-stitched together - making each piece unique!

Moschino creative director Jeremy Scott collaborated with Jim Henson's Creature Shop on a couture-worthy puppet show. Dainty marionettes showcased miniature versions of the new collection: a celebration of dressing up, with formal wear taking centre-stage - all puff sleeves, tulle skirts and embroidered ruffles - complete with teeny tiny evening accessories...

Valentino moved from Paris to Milan this season, where it presented a collection that "re-signified" the traditional codes of the fashion house. We could see a dialogue between classic and modern, couture techniques balanced with simplicity and elegance: a contemporary and appropriate way for today’s new world... and of course, that red gown!

Radical Sensuality

Speaking about the surreal becoming a reality in 2020... Paco Rabbane new collection paid homage to the Maison’s first collection: “Twelve Dresses in Unwearable Materials,” which debuted back in 1966. Dazzling chainmail creations, jingling masked dresses made of oversized disco-ball sequins and sharp silver daggers stole my heart and it's definitely one of the best things I've seen this season.
Clothes for modern femme fatale crusaders. “I don’t think we’re in a time when women need to be quiet — sometimes you need to get the knives out!” Julien joked. “The last dress, it’s almost like a weapon.”
I will have one of each, please!
