GCTV presents ‘Shannon and Hannah: Live on Stage’ this Wednesday, Oct. 7

The Garfield Center for the Arts’ GCTV is proud and excited to present a warm and enjoyable evening with two friends performing some of their favorite songs. ‘Shannon and Hannah: Live on Stage’ will indeed be streamed Live from the Garfield Stage. And, like all of our GCTV Wednesday night presentations, the program will be free to enjoy!

Garfield Center audiences are already very familiar with Shannon Whitaker. She has been performing in the area since she was seven years old! Most recently she was seen, on your screens, for this year’s Short Attention Span Theatre online. She lives in Chestertown with her beau, The Garfield’s very own, Nic Carter, and their fat cat, Toby. Shannon is extremely excited to back on the Garfield stage and hopes you enjoy the show!

Accompanying and performing with Shannon is Hannah Lagno. Hannah has been airborne since she was six months old, when her parents first strapped her in a car seat in their 1947 Cessna 140. She holds a double Bachelor's degree in music education, and percussion and piano performance from Frostburg State University, as well as a Performer's Certificate in percussion from Penn State. After college, she had a change of heart and decided to pursue her passion for aviation. In 2013, she earned her private license at Chesapeake Sport Pilot under the guidance of her father, and continued to study here for her sport pilot instructor's certificate. Hannah started getting her hands dirty in aviation maintenance in 2017. After two years of apprenticeship at Bay Bridge Airport she got her A&P aircraft mechanic certificate. Hannah still enjoys performing and accompanying, and is looking forward to making music with Shannon!

Due to recent changes by Facebook with their live video feature, GCTV has moved platforms to The Garfield Center’s YouTube page, which can be found at www.youtube.com/PrinceTheatreCtown. The show will start at 7:30 PM as usual. Anyone wishing to continue to find GCTV programs on Facebook can do so – a link to the live YouTube feed will be put up on our Facebook page at the beginning of each program. The Garfield Center for the Arts' Facebook page can be found at www.facebook.com/garfieldcenterforthearts.
