Artist-in-Residence
WENDY RED STAR
with October 14 Event

Our next Artist-in-Residence (AiR), Wendy Red Star (Apsáalooke), will be familiar to many of our friends who have seen her Crow's Shadow prints from her 2010 or 2015 residencies. We are very excited to have Wendy joining us again in the studio and are looking forward to seeing a new body of work.

Please join us for a virtual conversation with Wendy Red Star and an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the prints she will be publishing with Crow's Shadow. Listen as Wendy describes her artwork, meticulous research and design for each image. There will also be a tour of the studio to see the prints in process. A question and answer period will wrap up the conversation. If you'd like to send a question in advance, you can email it to karldavis@crowsshadow.org.

YOONHEE CHOI
New Editions Online

Yoonhee Choi, Trace⁺¹ edition of 16, 28.5 x 22.25 ", $700 each

Yoonhee Choi joined us at Crow's Shadow in September of 2019 to work in the studio with our collaborative Master Printer, Judith Baumann. Over the two week residency, Yoonhee focused on producing three intricate editions. Each print incorporates different aspects of her evolving art practice: vibrant colors, architectural design, found materials, and textures. The images have a playful but elegant studiousness about them and are full of subtle details that reveal themselves slowly over repeated viewings.

Choi has a Bachelor of Engineering in City Planning from Hong-ik University in Seoul, South Korea; a Master of Architecture from Yale University in New Haven, CT; and a Diploma of Fine Arts from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, MA.
