Construction Blueprint - studious meeting with project partners

On 5 and 6 October, FIEC participated in the 4th Construction Blueprint meeting, which gathered all 24 partners in this large-scale EU-funded project (Erasmus+).
Even if the social networking part was, again, cancelled because of the persisting difficulties in organising physical meetings, the project leader, Fundación Laboral de la Construcción (FLC), was in a position to report on the latest achievements, as well as present some strategic restructuring of this 4-year project.
The main objective of Construction Blueprint is to develop a new sectoral strategic approach to cooperate on skills in the construction industry, and support better matching between skills needs of companies and skills provided by training centres (in the areas of energy efficiency, circular economy and digitalisation). To achieve this goal successfully, the project brings together three Sectoral European Organisations (including FIEC), along with nine National Sectoral representatives and twelve Vocational Education and Training (VET) and Higher Education providers from twelve European Union countries.

Renovation Wave

A Communication on the Renovation Wave is expected on Wednesday this week and amongst the likely proposals are the re-opening of three directives and the introduction of minimum energy performance standards for buildings.  The re-opening of the Energy Efficiency Directive, Renewable Energy Directive and Energy Performance in Buildings Directive (EPBD) is deemed necessary in order to meet the more ambitious climate target of 55% reduction in emissions by 2030, announced in the Green Deal last year. More information can be found on the link below.

The views of some users can be found in this video and the Platform can be reached by following the link below.
