Our Vision:  To save lives and improve health outcomes for individuals, children and families impacted by the opioid crisis through development of a comprehensive, coordinated system of addiction care by integrating services across the system.

We want to officially welcome Kelby Sansom to the Great Rivers team. Kelby is our new Prevention Education Specialist for Cabell and Putnam Counties.  Kelby is anxious to start getting out into the community and building relationships with our partners.

If you haven't downloaded our Great Rivers App make sure to do so today! We are still doing updates and adding in Peer Recovery Coaches. If you know of any Peer Coaches that would like to be added to the app have them contact Kelby at sansom39@marshall.edu . 
 
                                               
      

BLESSING BOXES 

The Blessing Boxes grant has successfully identified the organizations that will be building the boxes in each county. We will be partnering with Region 5 to provide the resources as well as the nonperishable items including hygiene products. Exact locations have not been identified as of yet.

Recovery Art Project
The West Virginia Drug Intervention Institute is searching for artists who are also in recovery to showcase their work at the Institute’s new offices in Downtown Charleston. The exhibit will not only include art created by persons in recovery, but will also showcase their stories. For more information contact: WV DII President, Dr. Susan Bissett at susan@wvdii.org

The Save A Life Day was a HUGE success. Over 1000 kits were given out in Kanawha and Putnam County. We want to thank Joe Solomon and the other organizers for allowing us to participate.
