Canadian Blood Services Graduate Fellowship Program
Providing stipend support for young investigators who want to initiate or continue training in the field of transfusion science. Graduate students undertaking full-time research training in a Canadian institution are invited to apply.

Congratulations to Dr. Peter Nickerson, medical advisor to Canadian Blood Services' Organ and Tissue Donation and Transplantation team, who was selected as the winner of the 2020 Rose Payne Award by the American Society for Histocompatability and Immunogenetics (ASHI). The Rose Payne Award was established in 1984 in honour of a great scientist and to recognize her long-standing contributions to the field of immunogenetics and her support in the development of the Society.
 
Congratulations to Dr. Heyu Ni on his appointment as a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences. Dr. Ni's appointment provides visibility to the importance of transfusion science research to the health of Canadians and beyond.  You can read more about Dr. Ni's work and his appointment in our R.E.D. blog post below.
