Meet the Gamecock Guides

The Gamecock Guides are a group of newly hired student content creators who are using this platform to show the Carolina experience through their eyes. The guides are working to create content that will amplify university messages, build virtual relationships that engage fellow students and serve as representatives of UofSC. Applications for 2021-22 resident mentor positions are open
RMs are responsible for developing strong relationships with on-campus residents to enhance their living and learning experience at Carolina. Visit the RM selection recruitment website to learn more about the position. Encourage interested students to attend an information session in the residence halls to learn more about the selection process. Applications will close on Nov. 1.

Flu shots available for students, faculty and staff
Flu vaccines are available by appointment weekdays between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the Center for Health and Well-Being. Schedule your appointment online.

2021 orientation leader application open
Orientation leaders serve as mentors, resources and role models for incoming Gamecocks; represent the university; and share their Gamecock pride with over 6,500 new students and 5,000 family members each year. Know of a student who may be interested? Recommend them for the position.

Become a U101 Instructor
University 101 is accepting applications for new instructors for fall 2021. Prospective instructors should submit the University 101 new instructor application, along with a cover letter and current resume. Applications are considered on a rolling basis, and priority consideration for the January 2021 Teaching Experience Workshop will be given to applications received by Oct. 30.

Submit an announcement for the next Stay Informed. The deadline is 11 a.m. Thursday for the following Monday.

At least one in four women are considering downshifting their careers or leaving the workforce because of COVID-19, according to the annual Women in the Workplace study from LeanIn.org and consulting firm McKinsey & Company. The study involved 317 companies representing over 12 million employees" -ABC News
