Welcome to the High Country AAA's
Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Newsletter!

The High Country Area Agency on Aging (AAA) is excited to announce the development of a Grandparents Raising Grandchildren (GRG) program for the seven-county High Country Region.

The GRG program is in the beginning stages of programmatic development and the High Country Area Agency on Aging has worked diligently to distribute a Regional Needs Assessment. The assessment has been sent to hundreds throughout the region, including school district employees, non-profits, public agencies, and many others. In addition to being sent directly, the assessment was also shared publicly through a variety of social media posts and newsletters. The assessment will be used to gauge primary needs for grandparents raising their grandchildren throughout the region in order to tailor service delivery to the varied needs between counties.
