Run the City-Bay your way with Team MS!

Given the ongoing health crisis, the Westpac City-Bay Fun Run Presented by Sunday Mail has gone virtual. Complete your walk or run anywhere you like from 24 October to 30 November while raising funds for MS Society SA & NT supporting people living with MS. Plot your own course, follow one of the City-Bay's suggested trail options, or head to the gym and go the distance on the treadmill.

Get involved in local MS research

Researchers at The University of Adelaide need participants for their latest study investigating what causes people with MS to fatigue much quicker during everyday physical activities such as climbing stairs or shopping for groceries. For more details and to apply visit the MS Trials website.

Celebrating our unpaid carers

This National Carer's Week we celebrated all carers supporting a family member or friend living with MS for their extraordinary contribution. Our carers need support too, and the Carer Gateway is a great source of information and advice on the supports available to carers across Australia, and has a great range of online resources to help promote carer wellbeing.

MS Mighty Swim registrations now open!

MS Mighty Swim is back on 13 & 14 February 2021 at Unley Swimming Centre. We challenge you and your team to swim for 24 hours while raising funds to support people living with multiple sclerosis. Get your team together and compete to swim the most laps while making a difference. Register before 12 November and get your free limited edition t-shirt!

What is support coordination? 

A support coordinator will help you get the most from your NDIS plan and connect you with the services and supports you need to achieve your goals. We have some fantastic support coordinators here at the MS Society. Not every participant is funded for support coordination, but everyone can ask for it. Learn more about support coordination and if it's right for you in this helpful video.

It’s vital to be able to discuss all health concerns with your healthcare practitioners to ensure you are heard. These tips are not only relevant for people living with MS, but anyone who would like to take control and get more out of their healthcare.

Virtual MS Exercise Groups 

When: Tuesdays and Fridays, 9:30am

Our MS physios are running 45 minute exercise classes. Classes are run using the online video conferencing platform, Zoom. Exercises can be done sitting or standing, and focus on mobility, strength and balance. 

Virtual Yoga 

When: Mondays 12:30pm, Wednesdays 6:30pm and Saturdays 9am

Join us for virtual yoga classes via Zoom. Learn yoga poses and breathing exercises from qualified yoga instructors. Chair options are provided.
