Students are back at PiP!

Over the last few weeks PiP staff have been busy making sure our all of our Centres are safe to return to our in-person service.

We officially re-opened at the end of September and following Government guidelines have introduced student 'bubbles' with a limited number of students and staff in sessions to maintain social distancing and keep everyone safe. We have also rearranged classrooms, purchased PPE and produced easy-ready guides, which explain new PiP regulations, including temperature checks and when to wear a face covering.

We are delighted to have students back in the building again!

We are still delivering our virtual programme and have an exciting autumn programme lined up. Scroll down to see what's coming up in the next few months.

The PiP Marathon!

On Sunday 4th October, instead of running 26.2 miles in the London Marathon, Frankie our Learning & Development Coordinator took part in the PiP Marathon, running and walking from her home in East London to PiP and back!

It was a long, achy and very wet day, but Frankie had the best cheer squad made up of PiP students and staff who joined her along the way and kept up morale. Frankie has also been busy fundraising to support PiP and has raised an incredible £1,265!

Frankie isn't stopping there and is now looking ahead to 2021 when she aims to run the Marathon with the other ballot winners. Congratulations Frankie!!

If you feel inspired by Frankie's story and would like to take on a challenge, we have space in the Royal Parks Half Marathon in April 2021. Likewise if you have a ballot place for the London Marathon next year and would like to fundraise for PiP, please get in touch with Claire on claireg@piponline.org.uk

Upcoming events at PiP

Christmas is a favourite time of year for our students so we want to celebrate in style! Join us online to meet our students and learn more about adults with learning disabilities and autism.

Whilst we can't totally be back to normal (yet!) we are pleased to open up sessions to volunteers and supporters to raise awareness of learning disabilities, learn alongside our students and get involved in the fun side of PiP and our much loved and missed performances.

If you missed out on our Summer Party, then our Alternative Christmas Party on the 16th December is a must! Sign up before tickets sell out!
