SCHIMA 2020 Virtual Fall Session

To continue with social distancing guidelines and to respect the health needs for all of our SCHIMA members and non-members seeking education from SCHIMA, this will be the first of our virtual education events for 2020. All SCHIMA education will be virtual through 2020 and potentially for the first quarter of 2021; in-person events will be considered once health authorities advise meetings are safe to hold.
SCHIMA has also embarked on a new affiliation agreement with AHDAM – Association for Healthcare Denial and Appeal Management. Click here to learn more about AHDAM.
SCHIMA has also partnered with Verisma to bring you 3 additional virtual sessions for the 2020 Fall Virtual Event.
On Thursday, October 8, 2020 from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM AHDAM will kick off this fall event with a live webinar titled: Successfully Appealing Clinical Validation and Coding in Malnutrition.
After this live event, a recording of the event and a link to the Verisma sessions will be provided. You will have 60 days to listen to the recorded sessions to earn a total of 4.5 CEUs.

SCHIMA is partnering with the Association for Healthcare Denial and Appeal Management (AHDAM) to present a Lunch & Learn Series on Denial and Appeal Management. Come join SCHIMA & AHDAM for session #2 on November 5, 2020 on Successfully Appealing Clinical Validation and Coding Issues in Encephalopathy

- Understand common denial rationale
- Recognize the differences between coding and clinical denials for encephalopathy
