A message from your pastor
"The word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart."
Hebrews 4:12

Go Vote
As Christians we are to be good stewards of our nation and our communities, therefore I want to remind you to take steps to prepare yourself to prayerfully vote this fall. Many communities have made mail-in voting as well as early voting widely available. The next election is the Nov. 3 election.

Though we take part in our civic duties in order to 'form a more perfect union', participate in our elections, pray for our leaders and for God's will to be done through our elections, we ultimately realize that our hope is not found in parties or politicians. Our Savior will not be an elected official, nor be found in political office--it would be foolish to think so; the Bible is clear that there is one savior in heaven--eternally sovereign, unrivaled, who holds the heart of  earthly kings in his hands (Prov. 21:1). Let us keep God alone as our the true source of all hope, order, and peace.

PRAYER

In Peter's 1st letter, he tells us, "Cast all your cares / anxieties on God, because he cares for you." (1 Pet. 5:7) We believe in the power of prayer. We pray to a loving & all-powerful God who went to the cross to prove his love for us, and for whom nothing is impossible. We put our trust and hope in him alone and we lift up the following requests to Him.

  • Pray for the family of Bob Gedney who fell asleep in the Lord last night.
  • Pray for a gifted volunteer to fill the Treasurer role in our church.
  • Pray for the Squires as Josh Squire recovers from injuries & Jean takes on more responsibilities for Dave.
  • Pray for Joan Dean for healing, restoration, & comfort against neuropathy
  • Pray for Cullen Shay & the Shay family as he recovers from serious shoulder surgery.
  • Pray for Duane Crabtree who is recovering from breaking 2 bones in his foot.
  • Pray for Carolyn Smith's her health needs as well as her sister Marilyn as she fights cancer.
  • Pray for George Peabody as he continues to fight for better heart health.
  • COVID-19 - Pray for our leaders, those impacted physically or financially, and for the safety of the many essential workers. We also pray for the many teachers, school staff, students & parents who return to school this fall in one form or another.
  • The Lost All around us there are those who don't know Christ as Lord and Savior.
  • Our Church - Pray for God to do a new thing in our hearts & minds, and be at work in our community throught us as we seek to remain faithful to Him.
  • Our Nation - & our leaders as we seek racial justice, battle this pandemic, return to schools, and approach a fall election.
  • Our World - Malawi - We pray for Pastor Ken & Darlene Perkins as they trust the Lord fully for guidance and to see him make their path straight. We pray that they will be able to have effective lines of communication with Malawi leaders, and strengthen and encourage new church plants in Malawi.
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
Philippians 4:6-7
Ministries
Men's Bible Study

The men of Faith Church gather each month on the 1st Wednesday of the Month for an opportunity to be in conversation, in the Word, and in prayer. All men are invited to join us on the first Wednesday of the month as we ground ourselves in the Word and commit ourselves to growing in godliness. Lord willing, we'll meet digitally by Zoom October 7th to continue to look at the life of Jaocb and his family in Genesis 34.
Mom's Together
Our Moms Together ministry continues with a monthly daytime playdate for moms and their children that will meet on the second Tuesday of the month at the church.  This is open to any moms who can make it, so feel free to invite a friend!  There is also a Facebook group where more details are announced about each gathering.
