TSA WEEK
National TSA Week is this week
October 5-9
TSA Week is a great opportunity for your chapter to create awareness of the Technology Student Association in your school and community, showcase your activities and accomplishments, and the perfect way to capitalize on the Public Relations category of your Program of Work. National TSA Week is about TSA student members and the hard work TSA chapters are doing while "learning to lead in a technical world."

Check out
10 Ways to Celebrate National TSA Week.
  • Membership Monday: Share the accomplishments of your TSA chapter.
  • Together TSA Tuesday:
    • Together we… (fill in your favorite TSA activities)
    • Together with… (tag your TSA friends)
  • Welcome Wednesday: Share a piece of advice to new TSA members.
  • Throwback Thursday: Post a favorite TSA photo of you and/or your chapter from your early years in TSA, perhaps attending your first TSA conference or working on your first competition.
  • Friendship Friday: Post a picture of you and a friend you have made in TSA.

Be sure to use #TogetherTSA, tag @NationalTSA, and tag @wa_TSA in all of your posts!

BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH
TSA partners with the American Cancer Society, and October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We encourage chapters to participate in a community event to raise awareness, or make a donation to the American Cancer Society.
STATE OF INNOVATION CHALLENGE
Join the State of Innovation Challenge in Washington. The State of Innovation Challenge will engage teachers, youth, and young adults in Washington state in tackling the big challenges our state is facing today by bringing project-based career connected learning to the virtual classroom. Starting in November, teachers and students can participate in interactive industry engagements and connect to post-secondary pathways, all while creating their own solutions to real world problems facing our state.
WEBSITE WEDNESDAYS
We are updating our website, and adding more content to make your job easier. Each Wednesday, we will highlight one area of the website for you and your students to explore.

This week, it will be our new Competitive Event pages.
Each competitive event now has it's own page, with a description of the event, mandatory competition deadlines for this year, and what is required at each of those deadlines. We also have a section about competing in the event in Washington (if there are changes from the National guide), and other resources, including software recommendations and links for purchasing supplies.
