Local Farmers Help Build Trust in Dairy Through Social Media Influencers
Thirteen local influential food bloggers with a combined reach of over 1.25 Million followers, learned first-hand about dairy from New York farmers during ADA North East’s virtual Farm-to-Table Dairy Tour last week. Four dairy farms welcomed the bloggers – Har-Go Farms, Pavilion, N.Y.; Noblehurst Farms, Linwood, N.Y.; Ivy Lakes Dairy, Stanley, N.Y., and Mulligan Farm, Avon, N.Y. – to learn about their innovative sustainability practices.

“It’s always important to let people come out to the farm to see everyday life, and so they can see and understand what comes into and goes out of the farm business to produce milk,” said Emilie Mulligan (pictured), who hosted an hour-long live, interactive tour of Mulligan Farm.

To help further make the connection of where food comes from and how it is used, the bloggers were introduced to influential culinary leaders in Rochester, N.Y., who incorporated dairy into the recipes they shared.

Dairy Checkoff is Part of e-Commerce Movement to Sell More Product Online
Dairy Management Inc., is starting to focus on emerging opportunities to sell more milk and dairy products through e-commerce. “COVID-19 has compressed the time that people were going to take to move to e-commerce, and that’s a trend that’s only going to continue,” said DMI CEO Tom Gallagher, during a recent Hoard’s Dairyman DairyLivestream.
Chocolate Milk Featured on ShopRite Digital ‘Dairy Aisle’ During October
With more consumers shopping for groceries through online e-commerce, dairy farmers, through ADA North East, are partnering with retailer Shop Rite to promote chocolate milk as Halloween’s official beverage on retailer’s digital “Dairy Aisle.” Like ADA North East’s in-store Dairy Aisle Reinvention program that gives the dairy case a “makeover” to provide a positive consumer shopping experience, this campaign will help reinvent the digital dairy aisle in e-commerce.

During October, customers can also shop our chocolate milk recipes that will upload to their shopping carts with one click! Additionally, collaboration with the Milk Processor Education Program (MilkPEP) and Dairy Management Inc., will allow the consumers to see additional shoppable ads on all different pages of ShopRite.com.
