Reminders from JAMS

Attendance:

Students enrolled at JAMS are expected to engage in distance learning in order to meet compulsory school attendance requirements. Attendance for each student will be recorded in Illuminate daily.

I know this is a hot and sometimes stressful topic.  Please do not stress! We know technology has prevented some students from attending.  So, if a student is unable to be online for distance learning, parents must report this to the school attendance clerk. Parents may report absences via the JAMS website (click on the "Find It Fast" button at the top right and then select "Report an Absence"; or click here) or by sending an email to jbeekman@smmusd.org. Please be sure to provide your child's name, ID number or birthdate, date of absences and a detailed reason for the absence.  If this is technology related, please write “technology issues” under the Other option.

Absences must be reported within 72 hours from the date of absence in order to have your child's record up to date. Absences that are not cleared within 72 hours will be recorded as truant.  If you have any questions about attendance at JAMS, please contact Jenelle Beekman at jbeekman@smmusd.org. For more information on district attendance policies, please refer to SMMUSD's Attendance FAQ page.

Technology Support:

If your district-issued Chromebook is broken fill out the incident report. You can find the “Chromebook Incident Report” on our website in the upper right-hand corner under “Find It Fast” or click on this link.  Incident reports must be filled out within 30 days and must be complete in order to process the request for accidental insurance. For general tech support needs contact jamssupport@smmusd.org

Asistencia:
