Dear Friends and Family of Camarillo UMC:
After many years of service as a staff member of Camarillo UMC, our beloved Pam Dougherty will be retiring from her position in the office. In recognition of Pam ’s announcement of retirement, we plan to celebrate her nine years of dedicated service here at CUMC as our Church Office Manager and myriad years of devoted service as a church volunteer on Youth Sunday, October 25, 2020 (which will be a “virtual/on-line” service).
You are invited to participate in this celebration in a couple of ways.
First, we will be collecting greeting cards/personal messages and/or monetary donations to be presented as a gift to Pam during the church service (please note any donation is not tax deductible.) These cards/donations can be:
- Dropped off at Kristi VanKeersbilck’s office on the first 3 Wednesdays in October (7th, 14th & 21st) between 1-4 p.m.;
- Mailed to the church office (please address to CUMC-SPRC,
291 Anacapa, Camarillo, CA 93010); or
- E-mailed to Connie Halpern (MrsFigsBookworm@yahoo.com).
Second, we will be having a Drive-By Car Parade by Pam and Tad’s home at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 25, 2020. Pam will be “on display” in her front yard to receive our gratitude, appreciation, and love. We will have the gift basket present in case you missed the opportunity to send in your personal sentiments. Their address is: 302 Bent Twig Avenue; Camarillo, CA 93012.
Our church family and community at large have been blessed by Pam’s longstanding, devoted, and exemplary work. We will continue to be blessed by her dedication to serve our church as a volunteer with her “Baby” (Medical-Supply Project) and our Youth Group!
