Darkfield Radio's binaural audio performances blur the lines of reality.
If you couldn't make it to CIFF this year you can still bring a little bit of Maine to you by listening to Living Sounds: Maine Island. This is 24/7 live sound from 4 microphones and a hydrophone on Whitehead Light Station, an island off the coast of Maine.
The Line is a 15-20 minute interactive story about love and fear of change. It recently won a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Innovation in Interactive Media and is available to purchase on the Oculus Store (for Quest).

Festivals and Events
- LFF Expanded is running as part of the BFI London Film Festival from October 7-18.
- Five festivals got together to produce Nightstream. This is the kind of collaboration-in-a-crisis that really give us hope. Online October 8 - 11.
- York Mediale starts October 20 and continues into the new year, showcasing a cacophony of experiential digital art conceived of and influenced by 2020.
- South Africa's Fak'ugesi Festival will be online from October 20 - November 20 so more of you can discover amazing African digital innovation.
- Raindance Immersive takes place online from October 28 - November 15
Submission Deadlines
- The international call is currently open for the Biennale College – Cinema Virtual Reality. Deadline October 26.
- SXSW will have an online component in 2021 You can submit PanelPicker proposals (deadline October 16) and films including for the Virtual Cinema (deadline October 28).
- Tribeca Film Festival will be taking place June 9-20 in their 20th anniversary year. Submissions are open till January 13 and include Tribeca Immersive.
- Sheffield Doc/Fest is open for submissions for their 2021 edition. Late deadline for the Arts Programme (formerly Alternate Realities) is March 1.
