eNews Update
October 14, 2020
     It is beginning to feel a bit like the fall season in Ramona.  The nights are cooling down, and worship on the church property is working well.  We feel that all the precautions are being taken to keep everyone safe.  Plan to worship with us each Sunday at 9am, either in person or live-streamed online.
     We are moving into a very important emphasis in the life of the church.  You will be hearing more from Harvey Payne in the coming weeks, the stewardship task force leader on church council.  This year's theme "Freely you have received, freely give'' Matthew 10:8 will emphasize our ability to freely give, and all that is ours comes from our God.  We encourage you to set aside November 15th as Commitment Sunday.  You will have the opportunity to return your commitment card in person at worship or online.  Prayerfully consider your gift, and think of a way you can increase your giving to the ministry of Spirit of Joy.  We have been deeply grateful for your faithful giving this year. In the midst of the pandemic, God's people are faithful, and we thank you.
     As a reminder, during our live services on the land, we have an offering box available for you to use as you exit.  Or if you'd prefer, you can mail your offering to:

The Lord is near to all who call upon Him,
To all who call upon Him in truth.

Seek the Lord while he may be found;
    call upon him while he is near;
~Isaiah 55:6
Come, all you who are thirsty,
    come to the waters;
and you who have no money,
    come, buy and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk
    without money and without cost.
~Isaiah 55:1
Safety Procedure for Worship
We encourage your arrival between 8-8:45am for set up.  Everyone is encouraged to wear masks on entry and departure on the church property.  Bring your own chairs, pop-ups, umbrellas, and bottled water.  To insure your safety we will have a table with prepackaged communion (1st and 3rd Sunday each month), bulletins (also a digital bulletin is available on your electronic devices), and temperature check.  Please practice social distancing of at least 6ft of separation per family unit.  Trash cans are available to dispose of all trash upon leaving.  If for any reason you are not feeling well, at higher risk, or uncomfortable with attending, we invite you to enjoy the service live-streamed.  If you prefer staying in your car, there will be a designated area for you to do so.
