Princeton Gerrymandering Project

The Princeton Gerrymandering Project (PGP) is looking for a Computational Research Specialist/Analyst to join our team! Learn more here.
 
The person in this role will work with the PGP to develop OpenPrecincts, an innovative, comprehensive, legislative-quality database of voting precincts across the United States. The specialist will also provide technical analysis to state-level partners and participate in outreach to civic organizations.
 
We are seeking applicants with a strong quantitative and programming background as well as a willingness to learn GIS software and systems. The preferred candidate would also have experience gathering and combining data from multiple sources and locations. Great communication skills are a plus. 
 
The Project is pioneering new methods for data collection and map analysis, and helping to advance legal arguments and redistricting legislation in all fifty states. We are looking for someone who is excited to use their skills in analysis and programming to support fair districting across the country!
