Reading with Rover

Help your child build reading skills and confidence by having them read aloud to a certified therapy dog in a live video chat. It's great fun for the dogs, the kids and the parents! For school-age children with an adult.

Study Zone: homework and study skills

King County Library System's volunteer tutor program is now offering more as Study Zone Plus!

Students can join online or by phone. Connect with tutors, create academic social spaces, and engage in reading and ESL activities. Separate, two-hour sessions are available for grades K to 5 and grades 6 to 12.

Do your children miss connecting with other kids over books? Here is their chance to recommend a good book, and find out about other students' favorites. For ages 9 to 12.

Join in a fun exploration of an underground powerhouse. Discover how the mighty red worm turns our food scraps into rich soil. Learn what worms eat and how they live. Explore worm anatomy and how to keep a worm bin. Also enjoy singing songs and making your own mini-worm bin with live worms to keep at home!
