FOCUS is pleased to welcome back Dr. Giorcelli, one of the region's most experienced special education experts, to speak about the educational and related developmental issues that are critical for parents to understand when nurturing their children with dyslexia, dysgraphia, AD/HD, and co-existing conditions such as anxiety, addictive behaviours, and low self-esteem.
Drawing upon her many years of experience, Dr. Giorcelli will suggest a research-based "Curriculum of the Home” designed to focus parental support.
She will draw a connection between the vulnerability of children and teens with additional needs and the resilience they need to develop in order to cope with life’s challenges.
- Provision will be made for parents to send in questions or comments during the presentation.
- Notes from her presentation will be available to participants through FOCUS after the session.
This event is for parents of children ages 3-18 years old.
