Opening Night was a success! About 30 viewers watched on Vimeo with a Zoom room open. After the show, the actors and I answered questions and discussed themes in the film.

The next day, the Online Dirndl Contest was "viel spaß." You can watch it here and savor the pulchritude!  Want to sew your own heritage dirndl? Here's an interview with Jennifer Rosburgh, historic sewing expert.

Not sure you want to watch it?

Fascinated? Want to learn more?

Listen to a co-interview with Deborah Livingston, who played the role of fascinating Julie, the "Halfrican" whose black and white ancestors fought in the American Revolution.

I'll be spending the next few weeks trying to tell as many people as I can to watch the show. Please help me spread the word by sharing this email with a personal note with someone you know who loves movies about women having authentic conversations, is mad about dirndls or any sort of cultural or historic fashion, or is looking for insight on todays' challenging conversations about race. Please like The Dirndl Diaspora on Facebook to see what becomes of this play. I'm very proud of it!
