Stunning Trifari - the invisibly set eight leaves pin in emerald, based on the Philippe designs of 1937, but as so often, revisited by him later on - in this case, in 1962, as confirmed by a newly found advert for this invisibly set series... again, Philippe repeatedly revisited the Jewels of India, producing superb pieces decade after decade - here's the most magnificent of the 1965 Jewels of India series pendant earrings, as seen in the famous Vogue advert, in ruby... from the 1949 Philippe Moghul Jewels, the charming turtle pin revisited and modernized in 1956, stamped with the still valid 1949 patent number - and a new advert for a familiar subject, 1956 Philippe gold and baguettes magnificent horse head, a design marked Pat Pend (but never patented) when first seen a couple of years before..
  
...completely remarkable Carnegie blackamoors from 1940 - amazing pair of lady and gentleman 'nubians', united again here on site, last seen together in a famous Bergdorf Goodman full page advert in Vogue, Christmas 1940... and confirming the attribution, a dancing blackamoor princess from the same year with the HC mark... together with a late 40s Nettie Rosenstein turbanned blackamoor pin, modelled superbly in profile
  
...and more figurals to fascinate - Carnegie 1960s mother pf pearl series Elephant pin (or pendant), joining several other pieces already here... tiny miniature Trifari WW2 patriotic airplane, same dimensions as their smallest stars and stripes pin... and superb deco pieces - Trifari clipmates, one a stunning 3D design from 1938, the other a pair of shield dress clips with a rare variation on the Clipmate mechanism - intricate Trifari late 30s openwork star sapphire oval pin with a moonstone highlight - Dujay invisibly set emerald hexagonal flower pin, attributed from the superb openwork on the back...
