Delight as NHS England approves funding for MRgFUS to treat essential tremor

BREAKING NEWS: The NTF is thrilled to announce that NHS England has made the decision to provide vital funding for the novel Magnetic Resonance-guided Focused Ultrasound (MRgFUS) for the treatment of essential tremor.

Further to a public consultation opened earlier this year, plus the ongoing campaign supported by the NTF, the Specialised Commissioning Oversight Group (SCOG) provided its guidance to NHS England to fund MRgFUS from April next year.

Congratulations to our amazing marathon runners!
The NTF would like to thank Curtis Rhodes and Fred Jewitt for running the virtual Virgin London Marathon on Sunday 4 October for the NTF and raising awareness of neurological tremors.

NTF Christmas e-cards are now for sale

The NTF Christmas e-card is available.

The cards were painted by artist Tina Martin, who has essential tremor.

The cards cost as little as £1 for 100 ecards and the proceeds go to the NTF to support people with tremor.

In line with the recent Government Covid 19 restrictions, face to face support groups continue to be put on hold for the foreseeable future. However the NTF online groups will continue. 

October was a busier month than usual with additional independent online events.
