Our Team is Growing

The team at Professional Assistance for Living has grown – and we wanted to share our exciting news with you directly. We have recently welcomed a couple of new faces, and we thought this would make the perfect opportunity to introduce them to you, as well as properly acknowledge those who have been with us for some years.

I started PAL in 2013 and it has been quite an incredible journey so far. As Physiotherapist, Equipment Specialist and Company Director, I have been amazed at how quickly our business has grown. This year, given all the challenges of a pandemic and completing our NDIS Registration, has been simply remarkable (not to mention a little busier than usual). I’ve been doing some behind the scenes work as well and I am now pleased to present our new and improved team to you today. We look forward to working together to support our range of great products and assisting you with queries, appointments and trials.

I will continue in my role exactly the same as previously, but with some much needed assistance in all areas. So, for queries relating to the support of our products and general dealership enquiries, do still get in touch with me directly at simone@pafl.com.au or on 0434 339 910. However, we now also have additional ways to get in touch with new email addresses and phone numbers, detailed below.

Jane

Physiotherapist & Equipment Specialist

Jane is a dedicated, responsible, caring and motivated physiotherapist with over 20 years of experience working in Paediatrics, both in the hospital and community settings. Throughout her extensive experience, she has worked with many families, helping children with a broad range of neurodevelopmental and neurological conditions.

She is passionate about working with families to find solutions which enable children to achieve their best and participate in family and community-based activities.

Jane works Thursdays and Fridays.

Sandy

Customer Support & Standard Products

Sandy has commenced in this newly created role to support our customers. She is a former Registered Nurse with more than 20 years of experience in both hospitals and the community. During her time nursing, she has gained invaluable insight into neurosurgery, neurological conditions, and critical care.

Along with her compassion and extensive clinical background, she has a strong desire to help others, she is focused on building positive relationships and resolute about providing a high quality service to families. She looks forward to making a difference in the lives of our children and their families.

Heather

Accounts & Administration

Heather has been our bookkeeper for some time, but the role has recently expanded to include a direct customer focus relating to quotes and ordering. Heather has held bookkeeping roles for the past 30 years and prides herself on her efficiency, attention to detail and capacity for work.

At home, Heather is a devoted wife and mother of two sons. She enjoys cooking, travel and scouting for the odd second-hand treasure! She enjoys working with Simone and the team to improve the lives of children with a disability and their families.

Colin

Technician

Colin is the tall fellow with the beard that some of you have met already. He provides technical support for the equipment, manages the warehouse and deliveries.

Colin has a technical background in marine engine driving and maintaining mechanical systems running on small ships. While he is used to much larger equipment, he has learnt to downsize his tools! He assembles, repairs and fine tunes each item and completes any repairs or maintenance to keep equipment running smoothly.

Colin has been involved in PAL since the beginning, but has worked full time in the role since 2015.
