Social & Emotional Learning

Promoting Equity Through Social and Emotional Learning
This How To Guide explores how SEL can help promote equity so all students are treated fairly and receive the resources they need to achieve. Additional resources are available to help educators foster equity in education and address the root cause of disproportionate disciplinary actions and referrals while simultaneously providing a flexible framework that addresses the unique needs of a school.
The SEL Roadmap
CASEL released a new brief, The SEL Roadmap, to support school leaders and leadership teams in planning for the transition back to schools, in whatever form that takes. Schools at any stage of SEL implementation can use this roadmap to build upon existing efforts around community-building, school climate improvement, student well-being and mental health, trauma-responsive learning environments, restorative practices, and social and emotional competency development. Visit CASEL for more information and resources.
Second Step Remote Supports
Remote and Hybrid Learning Supports are offered as a part of Second Step Programs to help guide schools in adapting and establishing social and emotional learning remotely. Free resources and adaptation guides can be found on their website including information about SEL, activities, and webinars.
