Hello, As we head into fall there is still so much to share about what we've been up to.
This year we built a settlement cabin just as the pioneers would — from scratch.
Learning about shelter adds a big piece to the story of what it took to set up a homestead. After food production, the next priority for the family was to get a roof over their heads before the arrival of winter winds. For many families, the settlement cabin was the answer.
