What is your professional background and role on the Nestworks Board?

I am a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA). I’ve recently joined the Nestworks Board as Treasurer. 

What are 3-6 words that describe you?

Learner/Student, Connector, Mom, Accountant, Skier, Happy

What is your experience with managing parenting and your professional life?

I will never be an expert at this. I think that it is mostly organized chaos with the illusion that there is a predictable routine. For me, the most important part of having a professional life while managing parenting has been the flexibility that comes with running my own business. There may never be an “off” button on my work, but at least I can generally determine when I focus on my work and I don’t feel guilty with taking time off if a child has been sick, or if I want to go away for a long weekend, or if I need to schedule a dentist appointment mid-day. I don’t have to ask for permission to do so.
