FAFSA and FSA ID
The 2021-22 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is now available! Before you can fill out the FAFSA you need to create an FSA ID. The FSA ID allows students and parents to identify themselves electronically to access Federal Student Aid websites. While you aren’t required to have an FSA ID to complete and submit a FAFSA form, it’s the fastest way to sign your application and have it processed. Learn more about the Federal Student Aid, FAFSA, and FSA ID.

NC Residency Determination Service (RDS)
Are you submitting college applications to public North Carolina schools? If YES, then you need to complete the NC RDS to be eligible for NC in-state tuition, state grants, and certain financial aid. You will need your parents or legal guardian information to answer the NC RDS questions.

Test-Optional Really Does Mean Test-Optional
"Applicants are NOT advantaged for submitting test scores. The weight of our application review rests on the rigor of your curriculum, your performance in demanding classes, your curiosity and intellectual engagement, your community engagement, your ability to communicate ideas through your essays, your motivations and passions as demonstrated in your essays and activities, and your likelihood to contribute to this particular community." - JT Duck, Dean of Admissions, Tufts University.

COVID-19 and Community Disruptions Question
This is a space to provide additional context to your application if you’ve endured specific and personal challenges. Examples of this might include limited internet access, a crowded home where you can’t find a quiet place to study, loss of a family member’s job, COVID-19 related health issues, loss of property due to a natural disaster, a particularly disruptive schooling experience this fall, etc." Click here to read more.
