UofSC named among America's Best Colleges for Student Voting

The University of South Carolina has been named one the 157 best colleges for student voting through its dedication to encourage and educate students on the voting process. In short, UofSC has shown a repeated commitment to increasing student voting and have been transparent about the results. Read more about this award and its criteria.

Nominate a student for No Title Needed
Nominate an outstanding student for No Title Needed! No Title Needed is an initiative to highlight students who demonstrate leadership without a position or authority. Students, faculty, and staff can nominate students who are demonstrating leadership specifically without a position or title.

Nominate students for the International Student Achievement Award
The International Student Achievement Award is awarded each fall and spring semester to two international students (one at the undergraduate level and one at the graduate level) who have demonstrated excellence in academic achievement and shown a commitment to campus and/or community engagement. Faculty, staff, fellow students, and members of the Columbia community can nominate an outstanding graduating international student. The students will be recognized at the virtual reception during International Education Week.

Student Life is hiring
Student Life is hiring a director of Parent and Family programs. This position serves as the primary contact for parents of undergraduate students at the University of South Carolina. The director is responsible for planning, implementing and assessing events and communications-related programs and services for parents and families, which provide them with resources to support their students’ growth and success at Carolina. Flu shots available for students, faculty and staff
Flu vaccines are available by appointment weekdays between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the Center for Health and Well-Being. Schedule your appointment online.

Submit an announcement for the next Stay Informed. The deadline is 11 a.m. Thursday for the following Monday.

  • Megan Colascione, Lauren Martini Olson & Denise Wellman presented, Not Just Bikinis & Basketball; Showcasing the Value of Campus Recreation Experiences Through Intention & Design, at the 2020 IUPUI Assessment Institute
  • Preston Residential College hosted the 7th annual (and first-ever virtual) Residential College Symposium (RCS) last week. Sarah Morgan Kelly served as the Chair. Jennifer Keup delivered the Opening Plenary. The RCS planning team included Anita Poole, Audrey Jones, Cassandra Pope, Amelia Quint, Karra McCray, and Duncan Culbreath.
