New Life! Now that is something to smile about!!
Look at those faces in the photo above. That is what celebration should look like.
This month's prayer letter was already written when I received this photo along with a glowing report of what God is doing in the Kenyanyana region of Kenya (Pastor Christiano).
Pastor Christiano and his team are half way through a four week evangelistic outreach in a new village where a new church is being planted. He took all of his young pastors and evangelists (in training) with him to help with the "kick-off" of this new work. To date, over 180 souls have been added to the Kingdom. Last Sunday 22 declared their faith publicly through baptism.
This was not a crusade or traditional church services. The teams went door-to-door evangelizing in the neighborhoods where the new church will be planted. This work is discipleship/training for our young pastors/church planters, and new life for the neighborhood!
I'll write more next month about how God is moving. At current rates, we are positioned to see more come to Christ in East Africa than ever in our seventeen year history.
These are exciting days. God is at work in East Africa. We must continue to join Him in His work.
