***GET TO WORK! The Philadelphia City Commissioners are hiringPhilly residents to staff 15+ satellite elections offices and assist with other election-related tasks. Starting IMMEDIATELY for a period of 4-6 weeks. A great opportunity to contribute directly to the effective and efficient administration of voting by mail and voting early in person in Philadelphia! POWER & Souls to the Polls on October 25
POWER (https://powerinterfaith.org/), an interfaith group of black religious organizations, based in North Philadelphia, is providing free rides to 4 Early Voting Centers. They need $4,000 to rent 16 vans and hire drivers to shuttle their community members to the events, and to early voting centers throughout the week. SEAMAAC (https://www.seamaac.org/) seeks funding to support community voting initiatives. Work includes:
*GOTV door knocking, lit drops, non-Partisan Voter Education, Voter Protection; Events (e.g., Halloween at Mifflin Square Park); food giveaways at CAPA HS Early Voting site)
*Free rides via taxi to Early Voting sites and to Polls
*Training volunteers (at least 150) and Staff at 15 Polling places in South Philadelphia for Voter Protection and Exit Polling
