📉 Broad-Based Asymptomatic Testing Program Helps Control Covid-19
Our campus saliva-based testing program was developed by Georgia Tech’s own researchers and has administered more than 75,000 tests since it was launched in August. “We’d like to test everybody on campus once a week because it’s very clear that asymptomatic and pre-symptomatic people are transmitting the virus,” says Greg Gibson, professor of computational genomics and a leader of the research team that developed the testing program.

🌕 That’s No Exomoon: Astrophysicists Reveal Method For Finding Exoplanets’ Satellite Neighbors
Center for Relativistic Astrophysics researchers Billy Quarles and Gongjie Li have come up with a methodology for determining whether exoplanets — planets discovered outside the solar system — might have exomoons, and they've already had a chance to test their theories. 

⚡️ U.S. Department of Energy Undersecretary Dabbar Visits Georgia Tech
Paul M. Dabbar, undersecretary for science at the U.S. Department of Energy, recently toured several of Georgia Tech’s energy-related labs. The tour was organized by College of Sciences Associate Dean of Research and professor Julia Kubanek, along with Tim Lieuwen, Regents Professor and Executive Director of the Strategic Energy Institute.

☀️ Statewide Climate Solutions Powered by Georgia Tech Research Debut
Drawdown Georgia, the statewide effort powered by research from Georgia Tech and other universities to find cost-effective ways to drastically cut the state’s carbon footprint, publicly rolls out its top 20 solutions this week — including key research from Kim Cobb.

"Psychology and Magic": A 30-Minute Online GT Study
This is a brief online experiment looking at your perception of magic. You will see a real magic demonstration performed by a real magician. You will give responses about your experience. This study will take approximately 30 minutes, and students enrolled in GT classes can receive 0.5 credit towards course requirements for completing it.
