Green Committee News
To all at the Green Churches Network...
St. Basil’s Church, Ottawa, is celebrating the Season of Creation by promoting it on our parish website and Bulletin as well as announcing it at at the masses which we are now having in the church following careful requirements and social distancing. Intentions are included each week especially on the theme of Creation and the first Sunday of the season Father devoted his homily to Creation and Care for our Common Home. Also we have created a display in front of the church altar area - attached is a photo of the display.
In addition we are having a series lectures on Laudato 'si which are beginning during the Season of Creation and will continue through the fall .
Your donation to the Green Churches Network is essential in helping us to continue to further the greening of Churches all across Canada. We are a registered Canadian charity RN: 815609128RR0001.
A look at our 2017-2018 Annual Report shows how the funding we receive is put to use to guide Christians in taking practical steps to protect the beautiful Creation God confides to our care: https://greenchurches.ca/about-us/reports/
