It is my great pleasure to announce the hiring of the Balboa Art Conservation Center’s new Executive Director, Leticia Gomez Franco.
BACC's new Executive Director Leticia Gomez Franco
Leticia brings a passion for preserving cultural heritage and a wealth of experience in areas of arts administration as well as in diversity, equity, access, and inclusion to this role. Her leadership will expand on BACC’s current strengths in conservation, preservation, and technical art history to reenergize and deepen our connection to cultural communities throughout the western region.
I’ve personally been inspired by the work Leticia has done at the City of San Diego’s Commission for Arts and Culture and look forward to seeing her apply her creative, thoughtful, inclusive leadership style to BACC.
With 45 years of experience, the Balboa Art Conservation Center (BACC) is the region's premier nonprofit art conservation facility, offering museum-quality conservation treatments, investigative technical imaging and analysis, and extensive preservation services for institutions and individuals. A nonprofit organization, BACC is located in the heart of Balboa Park.
