Connections & Funding

Connections
Thames Water Conservation Plans
David Eldridge is offering to collaborate with anyone at the University of Oxford interested in working towards creating specific soil and water conservation plans for the catchments of the River Thames and its tributaries. The plans would include the removal of sources of pollution from sewage and industry, especially agricultural runoff. The work could involve promoting legislation to stop soil erosion and runoff and/or a look at rewilding and better land use planning based on soil type. He has expertise as a soil surveyor and a land use planner both in the UK and abroad. If you are interested in working together, please contact him at david7pr@btinternet.com.

Oxford Hydrology Group
Are you working on hydrology research at Oxford and interested in brainstorming and discussing with others? Join the Oxford Hydrology Group! The group meets regularly throughout the term to discuss all things hydrology. Questions? Reach out to Marcus Buechel (marcus.buechel@chch.ox.ac.uk).

Making Connections with OWN
Have a topic or new idea that you want to share with the Network? Want to connect to others who might be interested in brainstorming or researching a particular topic? You can in the next newsletter, just email OWNCoordinator@water.ox.ac.uk with a short paragraph about your interest. This opportunity is also open to external partners who would like to make connections with Oxford researchers.
