Dear C-EL Faculty,

We're reaching out to you today with the hope that you might be able help us spread the word about two upcoming info sessions we are hosting, about our Certificate of Achievement in Community-Engaged Learning.

The sessions are scheduled for 10/27 and 11/2, both from 7 - 8 pm via zoom.  We're asking students to use this link to register for the sessions:  https://airtable.com/shrEywDdyNpXtNJVj.  Once they do, we'll send them the zoom link. Please feel free to 'like' and share the facebook event we've created for the event as well. Any help you can offer in terms helping students learning about these info sessions would be most appreciated.

Also, just a friendly reminder about the deadline and single application portal for course development grants. AS&E offers several grants to help faculty develop or significantly revise courses, including the Teaching Innovation Grant, the Community-Engaged Course Development Grant, and the Humanities For Life Grant. To streamline the proposal, evaluation, selection, and funding process, AS&E has moved to a common proposal cycle for all course development grant programs. Proposals for projects to be implemented during the 2021–22 academic year are due Friday, November 16. Learn more about each grant opportunity and submit a proposal through the funding portal

Lastly, don't forget about our Community-Engaged Course Operation Grants request for proposals:
The Rochester Center for Community Leadership is accepting proposals for its Course Operation Grants for faculty who plan to offer courses in the spring semester that combine academic learning and community engagement opportunities for undergraduate students in AS&E. Proposals are due December 1. Email andrew.thomas@rocheester.edu with questions.

Yours in solidarity,
The C-EL Team
