We serve the Lord God, the Creator of heaven and earth. He is holy. He is omnipotent. He is our all in all.
There are many ways that the Lord is unique. There is no other like Him. One of the ways is in His power. After all, He created everything out of nothing. This world would not exist had He not spoken it into existence. It was not the result of a cosmic explosion, a big bang, it was the result of the creative power of God.
He is also unique in His holiness. That word carries with it the idea of purity. God is sinless. He is perfect in every way.
He is also unique in the fact that He loves us, and He wants to protect us. He desires to have a relationship with us. Amazing. The One who created everything out of nothing; the One who needs nothing; He wants to have a relationship with us.
Here is a word from the Word:
“The Lord reigns! Let the peoples tremble. He is enthroned above the cherubim. Let the earth quake. The Lord is great in Zion; He is exalted above all the peoples. Let them praise Your great and awe-inspiring name. He is holy. The mighty King loves justice. You have established fairness; You have administered justice and righteousness in Jacob. Exalt the Lord our God; bow in worship at His footstool. He is holy. (Psalm 99:1-5)
