○ Yesterday, Governor Roy Cooper tightened NC’s existing mask mandate and extended restrictions through Friday, Dec. 11. A new executive order provides clarification on existing rules that North Carolinians wear a mask when not with members of the same household — including wearing masks inside one’s own home if friends or family are visiting + wearing masks while working out at a gym. ○ Local artist Chandra Cox is working with local residents and living ancestors of Oberlin Village to create a new public work of art, part of the City of Raleigh’s Oberlin Road Streetscape Project. ○ In a recent interview with WFAE, NC Film Commissioner Guy Gaster said the COVID-19 pandemic has created additional opportunities for filmmakers to produce projects in our state. As of Nov.1, spending on film projects for 2020 reached $110 million + $60 million is already committed to productions for next year. 🎥

○ The NC Wildlife Resources Commission has plans to stock 38 bodies of water with 60,000 surplus trout. Between Monday, Nov. 30 and Tuesday, Dec. 22, brown and rainbow trout 10 inches or longer will be stocked at parks in Central and Western NC — including Bass Lake and Harris Park Pond in Wake County, Twin Lakes Park in Durham County + Lake Michael in Orange County.
