This Autumn brings new opportunities

Dear friends and family.

This Autumn we have been truly thankful for new ways in which the Lord has shown us opportunities to live for Him under such uncertain times.
We had been so used to planning far ahead. We are sad that we cannot plan any trips to the UK in the foreseeable future to spend time with family, friends and church family. We were also hoping for a Christmas with the Oatridge family.
Life has been quite different in the last few months. But the Lord is reminding us in our family Bible reading times from Ecclesiastes that anything in life only has meaning because of Him anyway. So, if the Lord changes our plans, we should trust Him.
Not being able to plan ahead hasn’t stopped new opportunities:
  • we have started a new youth group for the younger age alongside the existing one. Emily now attends this group with another 9 kids between the ages of 10-12, where Andy is teaching a series from the book of Daniel.
  • Since last month, the older youth group is also meeting in small groups on alternate weeks and Zsófi is enjoying having 8 girls including Réka who loves eating and laughing together
  • Reading the Bible with a neighbour, which we’ve been praying for for a couple of years.
As we write this, our family is still in quarantine having been ill with COVID-19 this past week. We have experienced the amazing blessing of knowing the Lord's faithfulness as we faced this unknown illness. Family, church and neighbours have all been very supportive and we felt like we weren't alone.
Schools have also gone online for a while, which the girls are delighted about.
Thanks as always for your prayers and support. Here are some prayer points.

  • Perseverance and enthusiasm with the youth groups as they’re going online from this weekend
  • David, Réka and Emily struggling in different ways with their schools, may they find encouragement in Jesus and a bigger purpose in life.
