Halloween Special Event - 31st October to 1st November

This Halloween weekend the Adelaide Gaol is as spooky as ever! With seven themed stations among the historical Adelaide Gaol grounds, you and your kids can pose for the perfect Halloween selfie or portrait. We highly recommend dressing up for the occasion.

Book before October 29 to guarantee your kids a free trick-or-treat goody bag upon entry! Standard entry costs apply.

Purchasing entry upon arrival is also available, however, we cannot guarantee a trick-or-treat goody bag for your child.

Each selfie station is a touch-free display and is in line with social distancing guidelines and has hand sanitizer as per our Covid-19 Safe Plan.

Halloween at the Zoo 2020

Go along to the Adelaide Zoo if you dare for a week of fangtastic family fun from Monday 26 to Friday 30 October 2020.

Celebrate the spookiest holiday of the year at Adelaide Zoo over five days with their hauntingly good Halloween Trail, ghoulish giveaways and of course, amazing animals.

Go to the zoo dressed up in your most spooktacular costume. The first 500 little gremlins (under 14 years of age) will receive a goodie bag on arrival from HomeStart Finance. Plus, see if you can spot the animals enjoying some pumpkin treats as you walk around the zoo.

Sit Down Shutup & Watch! | Learning Disability Led Film Festival | 14 Oct 2020


Sit Down Shutup & Watch! Film and New Media Festival (SDSW) will be launching online from 14 October, Wednesdays – Fridays (10:30am), till the 25 October 2020. Running concurrently to the Adelaide Film Festival, SDSW is a biennial, international festival of work by filmmakers with learning disability.
Screening over 40 of the best film and new media works by filmmakers with learning disability, the 2020 SDSW Festival is ready to roll out, COVID-safe, online, free to watch through the SDSW website, on Facebook or YouTube.

Sit Down Shutup and Watch Film & New Media Festival! showcases short films where a person with a learning disability is at the heart of the creative process. In 2020 over 500 international entries were received by the SDSW Steering Committee, vying for a chance to be a part of the Festival.

Established in 2014, the biennial, Sit Down Shutup & Watch Film & New Media Festival! is uniquely, 100% learning disability-led, by the SDSW Steering Committee, made up of South Australian Filmmakers, Performers, and Visual Artists with a learning disability.

The online live screenings will be presented by members of the SDSW Steering Committee and will have the opportunity for viewers to chat live. After each live session, the films will be available to view on demand via the SDSW Festival website, Facebook and YouTube.
