Our team has worked tirelessly to provide our members with a cleaner, easier to navigate website.  The goal was simple; create a safe space for athletes and coaches to access all the resources and information needed to enjoy our sport to the fullest.  As this is a work in progress we appreciate any feedback you may have on content, format, usability, etc.
COVID update

The latest Provincial Health Officer Order recognizes that now more than ever, sport provides important physical and mental health benefits to our communities. We will continue our efforts to ensure our athletes, clubs and programs keep running safely.

We are in communication daily with viaSport to clarify our unique needs and explain how current health orders present challenges for some of our clubs to operate.  Many of your questions have been brought forward for review.  Please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns with the new rules and regulations in place.  We are here to help!

For the time being, we ask that all members of Freestyle BC be patient, abide by the spirit of the Provincial Health recommendations, and abstain from any creative interpretation of these guidelines. We will continue to provide updates on our website as we receive them.

As we roll into the ski season and based on the experiences of those who have already been on snow, the recent changes to the COVID-19 restrictions in BC have made it clearer than ever, that this winter is going to look different, but different can be a good thing!

Last but not least, please review the latest updates on the viaSport website and review the Freestyle BC Return to Sport Guidelines here.

BC Team Updates

"The Mogul Team is back in action at Apex Mountain Resort! Pre-season conditions have been absolutely all-time with low temperatures back in October which allowed Apex to fire up the brand new snow guns extraordinarily early. We were able to begin jump training on November 1st (earliest eva!) and have had our competition mogul course operating shortly thereafter. After such a limited summer in terms of on-snow training, this early start to our winter could not have been more needed. Our team will continue to train at Apex until Christmas and take advantage of the superb training opportunity. We're looking forward to seeing the results we will produce following such a productive stretch of training!"

This fall, the park and pipe team took an interdisciplinary approach to training, using all avenues of our integrated support team. The team had a very productive preseason and is in prime condition leading up to our first major training block.

Our team water ramped well into the fall and had an increased presence of strength and conditioning training at the Canadian Sports Institute under the supervision of Sven Bornemann. The athletes fine-tuned their air skills with regular trampoline training at the Squamish Airhouse, working with air specialist, Kalissa Lolos. This was followed by a one-week training camp on the progression bag at Maximize with support from Seb B.

The team has already begun its on-snow training under the guidance of viaSport. With the help of Noah Morrison, the team had a very successful rail camp at Sunshine Village, Alberta.  We are planning to train in BC at Whistler Blackcomb and Sun Peaks resorts until our first competition at the end of January. We are super excited to see how the team’s hard work pays off this winter!
Girlstylerz
Hey Girlstylerz!

I hope everyone is keeping well and healthy! As the start of ski season quickly approaches, it doesn't come without uncertainty. This year has served many challenges with new normals and constantly changing restrictions and regulations. However, throughout the many doubts and disappointments, I have consistently been reminded of the resiliency and passion that radiates within our sport. And it is no question that the Girlstylerz drive that passion with their positivity and bravery!

As you bundle up for winter, please enjoy/share this FIRE edit of the Girlstylerz Water Ramp Camp. Huge thanks to Freestyle Apex and viaSport for making it possible! It was by far, the highlight of my summer!
