What Lights You Up? Design Competition

In the What Lights You Up? design competition, UBC Campus and Community Planning invite you to create a piece of art or animation that showcases what inspires, motivates, and brings beauty to your life. The winning designs will be selected by a judging panel and projected onto UBC’s Money and Raymond M.C. Lee Square. The competition is open to students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Learn more
 

Prepare for Workday: Foundations and Basic Expense Reporting

On November 2, Workday will change how we access human resources and finance systems at UBC. There are resources and training courses available to help you through the change. These resources include the Workday Finance 101 - foundations and basic expense reporting course, designed to help UBC faculty and staff learn the basics of travel and expense management. This course includes how to claim out-of-pocket expenses. Learn more


Integrated Service Centre

Workday is an integrated platform that brings together HR, Finance, and, eventually, Enrolment Services processes under one system. Workday support can be accessed using the new UBC Self-Service Portal. The UBC Integrated Service Centre has created three videos to help you navigate the new Self-Service Portal.

Installation of UBC’s 19th Chancellor, the Honourable Steven Lewis Point
Wednesday, November 25, 2020 | 10:00 am PST

The University of British Columbia Board of Governors has appointed former Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia the Honourable Steven Lewis Point, O.B.C. (xwĕ lī qwĕl tĕl), to become the university’s 19th Chancellor. Join UBC for a live webcast of the installation ceremony.

Antiracism Misconceptions: Insights from Teacher Candidates

This event will focus on ways to embed open scholarship into your practice, whether it is creating open resources, implementing existing ones, or creating open assignments in which students contribute to a global understanding of their topic. Register
