Joshua 1:9
From the Desk of Dr. Tucker

Dear Parents,

Thank you for answering our survey; we got great feedback.  The survey centered on our mission statement, which is Scofield Christian School partners with families to provide children with an academically challenging education that is well-balanced, comprehensive, and integrated with biblical truths within a nurturing, Christ-centered environment.

We partner with you because God gave you, as parents, the responsibility of educating your children.  We will work with you in the educational process, but it is your God-given responsibility (Deut. 6 & 11).  We continue to examine all we teach at Scofield Christian School so that it is academically challenging, well balanced, and comprehensive.  We will continue to ask if we are using excellent curriculum and methods within nurturing classrooms.  We also ask, “Are we integrating biblically?”  Each area of our school is important in establishing a Christian foundation that is preparing our students for their next year of learning and life.

The purpose of this process is to ensure we lay a foundation for a biblical worldview for our students when they graduate from SCS, high school, and college.  A worldview is how a person views the world (Pearcey, 2005).  A biblical worldview is based on God’s biblical revelation that shapes how we view the world.  We must continue to ask; do we look at our world through a biblical lens?  As we teach your children we continually ask – What does God, through His Word, say about this situation?   In partnering with you, our prayer is we are all asking this question – What does God, through His Word, say?  Hopefully when a topic is brought up in the car or at dinner, you can ask your children that question and because of their time at SCS, they have an answer.  That is our prayer.

Blessings,
Traci Tucker
