We're happy to announce we'll be mixing governance and merriment on Friday 11 December at our joint Annual General Meeting with our friends at Youth Work WA.

Whether you're a YACWA member, a friend of the organisation or a youth worker, we invite you to join us and unwind from the end of a very strange year indeed.

We're pleased to open nominations for Youth Affairs Council of WA's 2020/21 Board of Directors.
 
This year we have three vacancies available. We are pleased that two of the current board members in the vacant positions will be seeking re-election, however we encourage all members to consider nominating for the various positions.
 
We are always seeking nominations from young people who have the skills to nominate for a position on the Board. This year, in particular, we are seeking people with previous board governance experience.

The positions currently up for election are:

• 2 x Ordinary Board members
• 1 x Under 26 Board member

Nominations will close on Monday 9 November at 5pm.

Nominations are also open for Life Membership to YACWA.

Life Membership highlights an individual's dedication, passion and commitment to the ideals of YACWA and recognises their long-standing efforts as a champion for the rights and well-being of all young people in Western Australia.

In addition to announcing the result of our Board elections, we'll be be proposing changes to the YACWA Constitution to be voted on by the membership.
